This year there will be 12 applied learning specialism lead practitioners with the skills and knowledge to develop best practice linked to the 14-19 agenda and applied learning specialist schools.

To help build partnerships and networks in their areas, our lead practitioners arranged learning visits during autumn 2006. These visits gave teachers the opportunity to observe best practice in partnership, collaboration or subjects with a specialised Diploma focus. The learning visits may have included visits to another school, college, employer or training provider.
