bottlesGCSE Manufacturing (Double Award) is designed to provide a broad educational basis for further training, education or for moving into employment within the manufacturing sector.

The three units are:

  • Designing products for manufacture
  • Manufactured products
  • Application of technology

This section will provide case studies and resources, linked where appropriate to each unit.


Competition

Hope Technology

The SSAT and Hope Technology are running an extreme engineering challenge for KS3 and KS4 students.


The competition involves working to a real design brief to develop a promotional product that can be distributed at the Cycle Show in London.
