This interactive resource is designed to be used by individual learners on PSHE and citizenship courses at KS4. The resource highlights and confronts some of students’ fears and aspirations in pursuing a different career path to the norm. It provides inspiration to students and raises their awareness of the opportunities in the sectors of:

• Construction
• Early years
• Engineering
• Health
• Manufacturing
• Social care

In the resource, six students from a variety of specialist schools interview young people from non-stereotypical professions and their line managers, to explore the benefits and challenges of following a non-traditional career path.

The resource offers an engaging and authentic student voice, revealing the opportunities and challenges young people face in key employment sectors, and how they overcome them.
