Diplomas

diploma training brochureDiplomas are the qualifications that offer all 14-19 year olds the opportunity to follow routes of learning that meet their particular needs. They are being phased in from 2008-2012.

 

They will offer the platform for young people to undertake higher education or to enter the world of work.

The SSAT together with the Quality and Improvement Agency (QIA), have developed a programme to support the implementation of new diplomas.

DCSF online consortia support and events calendar

This calendar contains comprehensive listings of all the support available to consortia and centres offering Diplomas and functional skills that is provided by:

  • DCSF through partner organisations
  • Awarding bodies
  • Diploma development partnerships

Listings include continuing professional development training, published and online resources, bespoke support, seminars, conferences and much more. You can search for support relevant to you and your organisation using a number of different parameters.


Diploma support programme VLE

Practitioners can now sign up for access to the diploma support programme virtual learning environment.


Diploma delivery from 2010
Workshops and learning visits are two of the ways SSAT and partners can help you with planning for the delivery of diplomas from 2010.
