Each local authority (LA) in the country has an entitlement of places per year, depending on the size of the authority and the number of teachers contained within.

Each LA also has a nominated TIPD representative, who is responsible for marketing and coordinating applications to the programme. Once viable groups have been established, around a relevant theme, the LA representative forwards all applications to their chosen Provider for consideration.
