This is not permitted under any circumstances. The TIPD school-determined programme is a professional development opportunity, and it is felt that in order for teachers to achieve maximum benefit, they should not have to concentrate on anything other than their professional development activities. If students were to accompany teachers, there would be a duty of care that would distract from the aims of the programme.
