Raising Achievement

The development of partnerships for schools to engage with other schools, that have already made improvements or are transforming the education they offer, enables the fostering of new ideas and innovations. These partnerships, which harness the strength of the best to help others to improve, are brokered through the Raising Achievement / Transforming Learning project and the Specialist Schools' Achievement Programme (formerly SSSP).

Raising Achievement/Transforming Learning

The Trust was commissioned by the DfES to lead a major project to support 230 schools in making their next steps in raising achievement at key stage 4. The project seeks to embed innovative and energising ways of schools working and learning together: its core aim is for improvement to be delivered by schools and for schools, making use of the Trust’s own regional networks.

Specialist Schools' Achievement Programme (formerly SSSP)

SSAP develops improvement partnerships between high performing schools and schools dealing with challenging circumstances or barriers to achieving their targets. A significant part of the programme aims to support schools facing de-designation or conditional de-designation.
