Academy Networks

The Academy Networks Directorate was formed in September 2005. Its work consists of the following key strands:

• Sponsor relations, including seeking out new sponsors, briefing them on how to establish a new academy, helping to resolve issues of concern and facilitating creative and productive ongoing partnerships
  
• Academy support, helping to raise standards, including establishing links with leading specialist schools
  
• Engaging with academy principals and principals-designate in a bespoke academy leadership programme
  
• Performing a media and communications role
